Vietnamese Official Gets Two Years in Prison for Porn Posts

HANOI—The Associated Press is reporting that an official has been sentenced to two years in prison for posting porn to a government website. Phan Ngoc Quan was convicted Monday of ‘illegally accessing’ the official Tra Vinh province website.   The verdict didn't mention pornography by name, but the AP reported that “a police investigation found Quan uploaded pornography to the website in 2010 and 2011,” and that he subsequently confessed to the charge. As AVN has reported, Vietnam has been prosecuting people for years over offenses involving the dissemination of “depraved” or “debauched” material.
