If You Like Hulu, Youâll Love FilmOn.com |
LOS ANGELES—FilmOn.com is pushing beyond its popular streaming video App and becoming the go-to site for all facets of content on the internet. With its TMZ-esque feel, FilmOn.com attracts over 20 million page views per month and is now competing with Hulu, iTunes, NetFlix and others for a share of the movie streaming market. FilmOn has a sister company at FilmOn.us called BattleCam, where anyone with a webcam can stream their own show on their own channel. Cam shows by outspoken personalities are put in rotation between live broadcasts. Founded by billionaire Alki David, FilmOn is made up of film and television professionals who produce custom TV shows, like on Hulu. A newly aggressive stance to make deals includes additional outside content such as additional movies, news and sports. The Hulu v. Filmon debate is just beginning and is expected to build with the February release of the new, over the air, electronic iPhone add-on. Active users currently enjoy original programming such as JaniceTV (Janice Dickinson’s show) and Kato Kealin’s show, both broadcast from Beverly Hills at the 9021go.com retail shop. Travelers from Europe tune in to watch streaming news from France or Russia. For more information, visit here.
