Internext 2012 Seminars Focus on the Future

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Organizers of the upcoming Internext 2012 trade show, scheduled for Jan. 15-17 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, have unveiled a two-track educational schedule that focuses on the future of an industry in transition. Beginning Monday, Jan. 16 and concluding the following day, the schedule includes seminars that address the mobile sector, managing tube site traffic, cloud technology and piracy, to name a few.  “We’re looking forward to dynamic sessions that speak to the current and future needs of our attendees,” said AVN senior editor Tom Hymes. “Though we always try to create an atmosphere in which people feel comfortable enough to speak their minds openly, you get the feeling that people are eager to break out of the malaise that has gripped much the industry and the economy as a whole. We hope to see that energy vigorously expressed during these panels.” The Internext schedule also includes an exclusive keynote address by Manwin Managing Partner Fabian Thylmann, scheduled for 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in Body English. “Besides the chance to share my thoughts and perspectives on the current state of the industry, it is also a chance to address any remaining questions anyone has about Manwin,” Thylmann told AVN. “I have always been open to answering any and all questions, and this will be a chance to do it up close and personal.” Other notable Internext 2012 seminars include State of Piracy, set for Monday, Jan. 16, 5-6 p.m.; What to Do With Your Mobile Traffic, also on Monday, 2-3 p.m.; and a special State of the Industry panel on Monday at 3 p.m., featuring a killer lineup of industry professionals that includes Dating Gold’s Allan Henning, Bjorn Skarlen from CommerceGate, Christian Mann from Evil Angel, Michael Klein from Hustler, and Theo Sapoutzis, CEO of AVN. Additional panels include, Big Tubes, Big Traffic Big Profits (Monday, 2 p.m.), Legal Update (Tuesday, 1 p.m.), Billing (Monday, 4 p.m.) and Alternative Billing (Tuesday, 2 p.m.), Hosting Porn on a Cloud (Monday, 5 p.m.), and a presentation by industry attorneys Lawrence Walters and Corey Silverstein on How to Protect Your Online Brands (Monday, 3 p.m.).
