ECN, Doc Johnson Award Prizes for Display Contest |
BRADENTON, Fla.—Two of the pleasure product industry’s leaders, East Coast News and Doc Johnson, recently concluded a collaborative retail display contest. The participating retailers were encouraged to rethink their merchandising and create inviting Doc Johnson product displays during the month of September and send the resulting images to ECN. Many stores participated, submitting an array of photographs to show off their handiwork. Both ECN and Doc Johnson were thrilled with response to the contest. The sales team at Doc Johnson has chosen XTC Adult Super Center of Bradenton, Fla., a longtime promoter of Doc Johnson’s products, as the grand prize winner. XTC management was quick to credit their star associate, Angel Camacho, with the win. “I’m so honored,” Camacho said. “I couldn’t have done it without the great support we receive from both Doc Johnson and East Coast News.” “XTC put together a fantastic and comprehensive Doc Johnson display,” said Doc Johnson sales executive Kerin DeFrancis. “They were able to showcase our line in a way that allows shoppers to get a real sense of who we are.” Doc Johnson will award the retailer with the grand prize: a new iPad and a $100 American Express gift card. “I’m so proud of them!” exclaimed ECN account rep Eileen Roney. “They took this contest and ran away with it.” East Coast News is no stranger to promoting merchandising concepts, and staff members who work at the the mega-distributor are encouraged to regularly discuss presentation with retailers. “A lot of brick-and-mortar stores are attracting a more eclectic clientele these days. We do our best to help them create an environment that customers will respond well to,” Roney added. Doc Johnson also will be awarding considerable prizes to two contest runners-up, and both they and East Coast News would like to thank all the participants of this creative and successful contest.
