Toyfriend Signs On As Sponsor for Megan Andelloux Tour |
LOS ANGELES—This fall, students will once again swarm college campuses across the nation. Rigorous courses will give them a chance to learn about any subject their hearts desire, but will their coursework cover sexuality? Megan Andelloux, aka Oh Megan, a certified sexologist and educator, has created The Study Sex College Tour to broach this topic, and Toyfriend is one of the premier official product sponsors. Megan Andelloux travels the country lecturing at universities about sexuality, safety, pleasure and advocacy. She is one one of the few nationally certified sexuality educators that regularly speaks on sexual health and pleasure. She has the honor of being the most repeated guest lecturer on college campuses acrossNorth America. “The way sexuality is often discussed, especially with young adults, is based on shame and fear,” she said. “Sexual health and pleasure should not be divorced; to be effective and comprehensive, we must teach both. This tour was designed to further this idea and show that people (who choose to) be sexual can do so in ways that best fit their comfort levels and lifestyle.” Toyfriend, a Swedish designer label, led by Eric Kalen, (one of the original founders and master designer of LELO), has created a playful world of fun, friendly and exciting vibrating toys, of course, called Toyfriends; combining genuine passion with long experience. The natural step of making vibrating designer toys accessible to everyone is one of the main reasons why Toyfriend became a sponsor of the Study Sex College Tour and is one of the biggest supporters of Oh Megan and her team. The public can see Oh Megan’s top toy picks on the Good Vibrations website, which has a special section for the SSCT. Andelloux is a certified sexologist and educator, the founder of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health, and a regularly booked and highly attended workshop teacher. She travels the country giving fun and informative workshops, dispensing solid and education based advice, and making sure everyone has the information they need to have fun, safe, and pleasurable sex. Student groups that bring Andelloux to speak on their campus are entered into a competition where they are graded on their communication, program development, marketing and reach. At the end of each semester, the group with the highest overall score receives a basket filled with SSCT featured products. “I’m very excited to have such great brands such as Toyfriend supporting a way to promote safer sex and sex-positivity to the younger generations,” Andelloux said. “It’s a win-win for everyone! Brand recognition, safer sex information, and most of all, a demonstration that open discussions of sexuality can be done! "The Seti is different from other pleasure objects because it really combines safety and pleasure in one cute and colorful vibration packet. What interested me most was the safety net it provides for anal adventures,” she continued. “With its satellite dish shape, and cute little nubby tip, it can be safely placed at the opening of the anus, providing a tiny amount of penetration for curious folks. The dish shape prevents it from being fully inserted. Other folks have expressed great delight in the pinpoint stimulation the little nub can direct on the frenulum and the clitoris." The tour officially launches Sept. 15 and carries on through May 2012. Various colleges have already signed up for Andelloux’s unique presentations that bring medically accurate and sex-positive education, brand awareness, and information on company ethics to young adults. As the official sponsor of the Study Sex College Tour, the retail sponsor, Good Vibrations has collected Megan's favorite sex toy suggestions so if you've heard her talk about a toy, lubricant, or other product, you can easily find them.
