Vivid's 'Spread Eagle' Takes Flight Online Today |
LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment imprint SuperXXXHeroes releases original comic-style action picture Spread Eagle on Vivid.com today and in stores Monday, August 22. Touted as "a dark tale of vengeance," Spread Eagle was conceived and directed by B. Skow, with the acclaimed David Stanley collaborating on the screenplay. "I've always been a fanboy of comic superheroes and have dreamed of creating one," Skow said. "I studied Tommy Gunn's profile about a year ago, and he reminded me of an eagle. I couldn't shake the image and started working on a character with special eagle powers of keen sight and incredibly fast flight. "When I told Tommy about it I don't think he thought I was really serious," Skow continued. "but the more I developed the character, the more excited he got, and when I told him I wanted him in the lead role, he jumped at the chance. We worked together with the make-up artist so Tommy would feel comfortable and to get all the details right, from his claws to his hooked nose, which he can use as a weapon or to peck during lovemaking. "With its fast-paced scenes and our use of comic art, the movie should remind viewers of turning the pages of their favorite comic book," he added. With Gunn in the lead, Spread Eagle tracks the new hero's discovery of eagle-like powers that he uses to clean up his crime ridden city. He discovers a young girl whose sister has been forced into prostitution by Big Lee (Lee Stone), who holds the city under his crooked thumb. Spread Eagle sets himself on a mission to set things right and pursues it with a passion. "Everyone on the set was excited to be at the launch of this new character," Skow noted. "There was an erotic strangeness about this character which heightened all of our senses. Tommy's combination of virility and sensitivity made him unbelievably hot, and the girls responded enthusiastically." The female roles are filled by Lexi Belle, Katie St. Ives, Lily LaBeau, Tanya Tate and Asa Akira, with John Strong, Marcus London and Jon Jon completing the cast list.
