Vivid's Lastest 'Masseuse' Debuts Online Today |
LOS ANGELES—Savanna Samson Is the Masseuse, director Paul Thomas' latest incarnation of his long-running Masseuse series—releases online today at Vivid.com, with an Aug. 8 arrival on DVD. The new movie casts Vivid Girl Savanna Samson in the lead role as a masseuse with a penchant for bad men, bad behavior and trouble. Savanna and her co-workers at Images Massage Emporium (Holly Sampson and Persia Pele) attract the same types over and over: suitcase pimps and other assorted drug addicted, blackmailing creeps who despite their wicked ways seem to hold a sexual spell over the women. "Like a smoldering flashback to a bygone era, Savanna Samson Is the Masseuse embodies the kind of serious, original and eminently sexy adult filmmaking that's rare these days," said AVN senior editor Peter Warren. Chris Thorne of XCritic called it "sizzling hot. Grade-A sex and action ... deliciously dark and sexy." Vivid introduced its first masseuse-themed movie in 1990, with only two actors in the entire feature, Hyapatia Lee and Randy Spears, who both won AVN trophies for their performances. The Masseuse became the best renting release of 1991, and a series of bestselling follow-ups have succeeded it, starring Ashlynn Gere in 1994, Taylor Hayes in 1997 and Jenna Jameson in 2003. The cast of Savanna Samson Is the Masseuse also includes Kayla Paige, Devi Emmerson, Jennifer Dark, Tommy Gunn, Trent Tesoro, Voodoo, Chris Charming and Steve Holmes.
