Infinity Studios Puts Mystique Magazine on the Block |
AUSTIN, Tex.—Infinity Studios today announced it is seeking buyers for its content library of video and still photos created for Mystique magazine. Founded in 1998, Mystique features some of the most beautiful women on earth filmed and photographed in exotic locations around the world. The soft adult content library is in the Playboy/Penthouse style, and was created at a cost exceeding $5 million. Assets include 600 hours of video (50 percent in HD). There are 150 hour-long shows as well as more than 1,000 web formatted video clips. The content library also features more than 30,000 still photographs of 130+ different top level models photographed by Mark Daughn, one of the top glamour photographers working today. The company is looking to sell its content library as it focuses more on non-adult themed travel-related productions. “I know another site or company would do well with this level of content,” said co-founder Kevin King. “It’s also a perfect turn-key opportunity for someone looking to enter the adult space with an established brand and a very high quality library.” The company is also making its websites available: mystique-magazine.com and hotpicsdirect.com. Both feature extensive custom programming and recurring and pay-per-view business models. “They would be a perfect fit for a high traffic website or strong affiliate marketing company,” added King. The company plans to retain its annual retail calendar business. Every fall, Infinity Studios, through its Sirens subsidiary, carries the largest selection of pinup and glamour calendars from around the world (more than 100 titles). In October of each year, the company mails a calendar catalog to more than 14,000 collectors, with an average order of four calendars each. The company is increasingly focused on, and spending more time and resources on, its mainstream travel business. “I strongly feel another company or group could do extremely well with the Mystique content and technical infrastructure,” said King.
