'Nerds' Cast Gives Nod to Parody, Star Brooklyn Lee

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The makers of The Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody (Third Degre Films and Popporn.com's Brian Bangs and Spock Buckton, to be exact) got a serendipitous sanctioning from the cast of the original film during a recent Nerds reunion that happened to coincide with the parody's production. The reunion was held Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Frank & Son Collectible Show in City of Industry, Calif., while Bangs, Buckton and company were shooting a scene for their parody in Canoga Park featuring starlet Brooklyn Lee. As pictured, original Nerds Robert Carradine, Brian Tochi, Julia Montgomery, Curtis Armstrong and Larry B. Scott agreed to pose for a picture endorsing the XXX spoof. (The "ZT" on their sign refers to Third Degree parent company Zero Tolerance Entertainment.) "They snapped that picture because they knew we were making the parody," Bangs told AVN. "It was emailed to Brooklyn Lee, then to me. It's an awesome pic! Booger looks awesome!" The Official Revenge of the Nerds Parody is due out from Third Degree Films May 10.
