Tucson Man Arrested for Inserting Porn into Super Bowl XLIII |
TUCSON, AZ—A Tucson man was arrested and charged with fraud and computer tampering Friday in connection with an incident in 2009 in which he is alleged to have inserted a porn clip into the Super Bowl broadcast being watched by Tucson Comcast customers. “Amy Rezzonico, a spokeswoman for Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne, told KGUN9 that a combined Federal Bureau of Investigation and Marana Police Department task force arrested 38-year-old Frank Tanori Gonzales just after 5:30 p.m. at his home in Marana,” the news station reported. There was no explanation why the task force took two years to track down Gonzalez or in what manner the alleged interruption of the Super Bowl was accomplished. Gonzales, who was an employee of Cox Communications, was terminated shortly after the arrest. According to authorities, Gonzales somehow managed to interrupt the Super Bowl broadcast for 37 seconds, during which he aired hardcore porn. His actions are also alleged to have caused “significant” economic losses to Comcast, though this was not explained. "Today's arrest of Gonzales is the result of a joint investigation by the FBI and the Tucson Police Department. This alleged act of fraud and computer tampering resulted in viewers, to include minors, seeing unwarranted material,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Nathan T. Gray. “The FBI and our law enforcement partners are committed to investigating individuals who breach their administrative responsibilities by committing fraud and computer tampering." That game—Super Bowl XLIII—pitted the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers, who will meet the Green Bay Packers this weekend in Dallas for Super Bowl XLV, won the game 27-23. The clip, according to adult star Evan Stone's Wikipedia page, featured Stone's member emerging from his pants with some help from performer Tristan Kingsley.
